We collaborated with designers Benjamin Silver and Maria Cohen to bring new life to this old boarding house that still had the buzzers in place to call up to each room. The new, younger owners wanted to bring their own unique design imprint to the home without losing any of its personality.
The kitchen, formerly an awkward nest of smaller rooms, became an open, marble-filled space and an eye-catching wine wall is the focal point of the new dining area. We added built-in armoires and dressers to the upstairs bedrooms and another to the beautifully minimal upstairs bath.
